DIY Rowing Machine: Get Fit at Home with This Homemade Skateboard Workout Gear

Materials:

  • Skateboard
  • Two loop resistance bands (varying strengths)
  • Two heavy dumbbells or two pieces of 2 x 4 timber
  • Stable upright support (a power rack frame works well)
  • 18-inch dowel

Instructions:

1. Position two heavy dumbbells or timber pieces at the base of the upright to form a footrest, creating a 'T' shape.

2. Loop the heaviest resistance band around the bottom of the upright.

3. Place the skateboard approximately three feet in front of the upright, facing it.

4. Loop the other end of the heaviest band around the front axle of the skateboard to create resistance during each row.

5. Secure the other resistance band around the upright, positioning it about 12 inches higher than the first.

6. Thread the piece of dowel through the other end of the lighter resistance band.
