Slime is a fun substance anyone can use to mold shapes of all kinds, but clay slime is especially satisfying with its fluffy, creamy texture. If you want to learn how to make yours at home, here's how.

Slime comes in various colors and consistencies, and people of all ages can get creative with this substance to their heart's content. Among some of its more popular variations is clay slime, also known as butter slime.

Essentially, clay slime is any kind of slime with clay added to it. Once the clay is added to the base slime mixture, depending on the type and amount of clay added, it produces a smooth, buttery texture. To make yours, follow these easy steps below. Happy crafting!

DIY Clay Slime

What You'll Need:

  • 2 cups of white glue
  • ½ tsp of baking soda
  • ½ tsp of water
  • ½ tsp of baby oil
  • 1 tbsp of cornstarch
  • foaming soap
  • 1 cup of shaving foam
  • 5 tbsp of contact lens solution
  • Daiso soft clay

What to Do:

1. Add your glue, baking soda, and water into a large bowl and stir until everything is mixed.

2. Add your baby oil, cornstarch, shaving foam, and five pumps of foaming soap, then stir to combine the ingredients until everything combines and you have a thick texture.

3. Add your contact lens solution and continue stirring until you have a thick, slime-like texture.

4. Transfer your slime base to a clean surface and unpack your Daiso soft clay.
